Various Events organized on the World Earth Day at DSVV
On the occasion of the World Health Day, various types of competitions were organized at the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya. The program was organized jointly with the help of Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC). The Ministry of Earth Sciences also played an important role in organizing the entire program.
In the first phase of the program, poster and essay competitions were organized in which 40 students from three Intermediate colleges participated. Ku. Aditi, Ku. Ankita and Ashul from Gayatri Vidyapeeth displayed excellent performance in the program. Ku. Sushmita Raj and Ku. Pallavi from the Tourism department were top rankers in the Slogan Competition while Ku. Pragya Sharma, Ku. Neha, Ritambhara and Mahima from the department of Environmental Science, were awarded in the lecture program.
The second phase of the program consisted of plantation program organized by the Computer Department in collaboration with the department of Environmental Science. Under this program, 10 distinct plants were planted in the Vidyapeeth campus which included plants like seetaphal, rudraksh, etc.
At the conclusion of the program, Dr. Abhay Saxena, the Associate Dean, outlining the program details, said that creativity adorns our lives in may ways. One must always make creative efforts. Thereafter, Dr. Shiv Narayan Prasad from the Music department and Dr. Pankaj Saini, from the department of Environmental Sciences, displayed their presentations on the Earth.
Addressing the program, the chief guest of the program, Shri Sandeep Kumar, the Registrar of the university, said that the story of the childhood is written in the very beginning. If a child is given proper guidance and culture in the very beginning, he/she faces every step of life with healthy competition in mind. The participants who secured various positions were rewarded by him.
In the end, Dr. Arunesh Parashar from the Tourism department, describing the success of the program, extended vote of thanks to everyone. Dais operation were managed by Dr. Gopal Sharma. Dr. Umakant Indoliya, Dr. Sudhanshu Kaushik, Dr. Sushil Badhula, Shri Prakhar Singh, Shri Prasoon Kumar, were amongst those who witnessed the program.
