Visit to Poland under the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship Program
Three staff members from the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya visited Kazimierz Wielki University(KWU), Poland from 18th to 28th May, 2017, under the Erasmus+ Scholarship program, which is one of the most prestigious scholarship programs offered in Europe. The objective of this educational visit was the Staff Mobility for Training and Teaching. Shri Jwalant Bhavsar, from the Pro-Vice Chancellor’s office, participated in various administrative activities planned at the University which included meeting with Vice Rectors and Directors of KWU as well as other administrative staff members of KWU. Shri Chandrashekhar, from the Department of Computer Science, delivered lectures on the topics like Multimedia Database, Audio Mining and Digital Signal Processing as well as Green Computing to the faculty members as well as student of the Department of Science and Technology. Similarly, Dr. Ipsit Pratap Singh, from the Department of Indian Culture and Tourism, also delivered lectures on topics like Challenges for Cultural Tourism in a globalized world, New trends of Cultural Tourism as well as Spiritual Tourism. All the three members also introduced Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya and All World Gayatri Pariwar and their various initiatives. During their stay, the members also conducted sessions on Indian Culture and Spirituality. Practical Yog Sessions were also conducted by the members. Several possibilities of collaboration were discussed in the areas of Yoga, Cultural Studies, Technological studies as well as joint researches and publications. In the midst of the program, students from the Russian State University also met the members from DSVV and were introduced to Yoga and Indian Culture. The set books written by Param Pujya Gurudev Pt. Shri Ram Sharma Acharya was established at the library of the Kazimierz Wielki University of Bydgoszcz by the representative members of DSVV. The team also participated in the Bydgoszcz Science Festival and delivered a lecture on “India at your doorsteps” conveying interesting facts about India and its Culture to the students of various schools and universities participating in the Science Festival.
On their arrival back to the university, Dr. Chinmay Pandya, the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the university, said that although the team of teachers has returned, yet this is just the beginning. Eventually, under this program, the students of the Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya would also benefit.
