Newtonium ($NEWTON) New Farming Model
We call it “APPLE”. Apple refers to the crop from $NEWTON farming, which consists of three types of apple, namely $DAI, $USDT and $USDC. You can harvest apples after “Planting Seeds”.
One season lasts 10 days. The 1st day is the “Planting Seeds” phase, which is taking a screenshot of Newton holders on Etherscan ten days before the apple harvest day. The 10th day is the “Apple Harvest” phase, which is claiming apples ($DAI, $USDT, or $USDC) by $NEWTON farmers from the wallet address that holds $NEWTON during the “Planting Seeds” phase. In the “Apple Harvest” phase, $NEWTON farmers also have to poll to determine the type of apples to be planted in the next season, either $DAI, $USDT or $USDC.
Where do these apples come from? Gravity?
We call it “Proof of Markets”. The NEWTON team has recently created three pools at Uniswap, namely NEWTON/DAI, NEWTON/USDT, and NEWTON/USDC. We call these three pools “Apple Fields”. The $NEWTON team will remove 10% of an “Apple Field” when the harvest season arrives. If $NEWTON farmers want to get bountiful harvests (get lots of apples), then they have to make $NEWTON price more expensive when the harvest season arrives (PUMP). Because, the more expensive $NEWTON, the more apples farmers will get. Therefore, $NEWTON farmers must cooperate to keep NEWTON’s price high especially when the harvest season arrives.
By removing 10% of the pool, the team gets n number of $NEWTON and n number of apples. At this stage, n $NEWTON will be burned by sending it to the address 0x0000…dead (“Proof of Burn”), while n apples will be sent to the harvest claiming address.
Apple yield calculation: n apples on the harvest claiming address divided by 999,000 (total supply; more fixed than circulating supply), multiplied by the number of $NEWTON held during the “Planting Seed” phase. Apple that is not harvested by $NEWTON farmers will be sent back to the “Apple Field”.
The first $NEWTON farming season will begin this week:
- The “Planting Seed” phase will be held at 15:00 UTC on Friday, August 28, 2020.
- The “Apple Harvest” phase will be held at 15:00 UTC on Monday, September 07, 2020.
