Before starting let me answer, the most common question people ask me most of the time —

Question 1.) Can someone perfectly master any skill in just 30 Days?

Ans: See, I work on the Pareto Principle or (80/20) rule, that is “It takes 20% of the time to learn a skill to master 80% of it. ” It takes years and other factors to achieve the remaining 20% and also Perfection is an illusion, no matter what and for how many years you put into a single skill, there will always be a scope for improvement.

But, the point is not about Perfection but to cross the entry barrier, which is the main reason why most people quit, whether it is learning any skill or anything.

Qustion 2 . Why should we Learn new skills what are its advantages?

BENEFITS OF LEARNING NEW SKILLS:

1. Learning new skills regularly has extreme benefits, You learn about yourself and learn how to learn during the process which makes it so much easier to learn new skills really fast, “The more you Learn the more You can Learn.”You will never be afraid of learning anything new, nothing seems impossible for you. (Most of our life we leave many opportunities in life, saying that I can’t do this and that, that is not my cup of tea, I don’t have time for learning, etc.

We don’t even think of even trying because of our past experiences when we tried to learn something like coding, learning skates or it could be anything, the black screen during coding was a horror-like experience.

Most of us quit before the entry barrier, but trust me once you cross that barrier, you will experience the cloud 9 experience, that rewarding experience can not be expressed in words, you will be fully confident about yourself, and you get the right dopamine hit. You will always be open to new things and obstacles.

2. The only way to find passion?

Everyone says you should follow your passion, you should do what you love but NO ONE tells you how to find your passion.

Ok so let’s break it down to the first principles, How do we find anything, suppose wants to find the best dish in a function, how do you find it, you do it by simply trying out different dishes,

let’s say you went shopping and now you want to find out which shirt looks good on you, how you do it, you do it by trying out different shirts.

Similarly, how do you find your passion, it’s by trying our different skills and things.

If Sachin Tendulkar never tried out cricket, we would have never seen such a great cricketer. If Rafael Nadal had never tried out Tennis, we would have never been able to see such a great player. (He tried out 5–6 sports before finding his passion in Tennis.)

PS- So Learning new skills lets you find your Passion.

3.1 You don’t have to be a master in a skill, you just have to cross the starting barrier, and when you cross that barrier you get to know the insights of the skill or industry that an outsider doesn’t know.

You get to see the skills with a different lens (The way of looking at things changes when you learn something, people who don’t learn different things see the world with only one lens they make their own mental models using only one lens. They see the world as only black and white.)

But when you look into it deeply, people who are in politics see things totally differently than people who are not into it. Artists looks and see the art with a totally different perspective or Lens, then people who don’t understand art.

Every skill, every industry every subject anything which requires learning has its own sayings, insights that outsiders can’t feel, and any outsider can get to know those things just by crossing the entry barrier. and after crossing it, you can reflect upon whether you want to stop or continue, you would know, you would feel it that time.

Like once you learn to ride a bicycle, then even if you stop you will not be afraid to try it out even after years. Because now you have confidence that you rode it earlier and you can do it now too. That confidence and that attitude is very necessary for life, the problem with most people is they have lost the hope and the confidence in themselves that they can do and learn new thing, or skill because of their past experiences of them learning something and stopping before crossing the entry barrier.

Henry Ford once said “Whether you think you CAN, or you think you CAN’T, either time you are RIGHT”.

When you learn more and more skills you acquire different lenses and don’t judge others, you get to see things more objectively.

Every industry, every skill has its own sayings that an outsider can read-only but an insider feels.

Like when trekkers say trekking is life, people who have never trekked or hiked would just read the line but the trekkers would feel it, they would feel the line because when you trek it’s a short life where you feel different emotions along the way you are cut from the outer world for few days, you are in a different world with different issues.

Everyone has heard a lot about the POWER OF COMPOUNDING, many of us has heard but only few can relate and can feel it, because we humans can’t see the curve of compounding, our human minds can think linearly.

4. Improves Critical Thinking

So I have seen many ted X talk, podcasts and 90% of them recommend most valuable skill in this age of AI and Tech, which is critical thinking.

and Critical Thinking requires the ability to mentally rotate information through different angles and Lenses.

The more skills you learn the more lenses you acquire.

Question 3.) What changes did you see after 2 years of doing 30 Days Challenges.

  1. I gain confidence in myself, I have become a kind of addicted to learning.
