Solid advice!
I’d also like to add that being prepared for interviews is also really important. Similar to interviewing, being interviewed is a skill that you can work on and improve. Work through any list of interview questions you can find. Don’t be afraid to ask companies that interview you for feedback and tips. Just because you didn’t land the job, doesn’t mean you don’t have to learn from the experience.
Another important weapon in your arsenal should be a refined CV. My advice is to focus on quality over quantity. There’s nothing wrong with only one page of content, as long as it’s good. Since you don’t have a lot of on-the-job development experience, list any side projects and relevant coding projects you did for school, or as part of online training. Listing the technologies you used, and why you chose them shows that you care about your chosen craft. Try and avoid the temptation of adding a skills matrix, as these take up a lot of real estate and add little value in my opinion.
Happy job hunting! 😁
