Termux

Termux is an open-source(free) terminal for Android which allows you to easily run a Linux environment on your Android device without Rooting. In Termux you can install various packages by cloning them from a Github. Github is a hosting platform especially for codes, it allows you to work together on the same project irrespective of location.

In Termux, you can run multiple operating systems on Android devices with the help of the Termux emulator. Most commands are available on the Linux environment to be installed and then are built on python, and bash commands.

History

Termux development team ended support for 5–6 Android and from January 2020 minimum operating system requirement of Termux is Android version 7.

Termux Google Play

As policies changes in Google play policies, from 2 November 2020 Termux is no longer able to publish updates of the Termux application on Google Play. You can get the latest version of the Termux application from their official site by moving into the F-Droid version.

Installation

You get the latest version of your Termux from F-Droid.

Android version 7.0–12.0
CPU: ARM, i686, AArch64.
At least 400 MB of disk space

While Installing Termux application from F-Droid is complicated for beginners, so you can download your Termux application from Google Play Store and later update it just by using single commands. Understand every command, instruction, and goal.
