Valvoline, you’ve won me over.

Getting my oil changed is one of those things that I had just learned to accept is going to be a less than ideal experience. Every 3,000 miles I get to go in a cold cement room, sit in a plastic chair, watch whatever sitcom is blaring on the TV and listen to the awkward conversations when the services techs have to explain why the other customer’s repairs are going to cost more than was originally estimated while I sit there wondering what is taking so long.

It’s one of those experiences that I’ve never really questioned too deeply. It’s just the way that it has to be. I believed this until I decided to go to Valvoline. Everything was turned upside down; No appointment necessary, didn’t have to leave my car, I was in and out in 15 minutes, they checked all of my lights and fluids for me, I paid from my driver’s seat and I was on my way. While they performed the same oil change, the experience felt completely foreign to me in the best way. …
