Why be a Vegetarian… 5 Reasons

Well so you might be reading this because you don’t want to eat meat. Or you are wondering why someone would ever stop eating our delicious friends.

Your furry friends will most likely not know or even care that you stopped eating meat so why bother?

Well those are personal issues you have to work out for your self. I’m here to show you why. Let’s get into it.

a plant based diets will help prevent diseases such as , Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, or cardiovascular disease.

Reason 1 : You will live longer

You will live longer. Ok I can’t guarantee that but on average vegetarians live longer.

Now who knows maybe it’s because vegetarians could also take less risks and are less stressed out idk.

I don’t know I didn’t actually do any research for this.

Reason 2 : Help save the planet!

Help save the planet! I highly recommend watching the documentary Cowspiracy. It points out that meat industry is the number one source of green house gasses.

Fighting against Global warming should be an international effort. But it will only work if we know what exactly to fight.

Ok, great you switched all your incandescent bulbs to cfls fantastic. You reduced your carbon footprint.

Ok, great you switched all your cfls to LED bulbs for an even bigger savings, my must be a hippie or something.

What! you sold all your possessions and now you live in a commune with 20 other adults that you their own food. Some people might describe it as a cult but, whatever you are saving the planet.

You don’t have to do any of those things i just hope that this will challenge your line of thinking.

Reason 3 : Save Money

It will potentially save you money. It’s hard to find places to go out to eat for Vegans or Vegetarians. You are bound to eat out less.

Cooking vegetables at home will cost you a fraction of eating meat. You will be more open to trying different types of food.

Try foods like eggplant, quinoa, couscous, or lentils.

Reason 4 : Animals Are Smart

Animals have feelings bro… who doesn’t have a 4 legged family member they love.

People seem to have decided which animals will be loved and which ones will be enslaved and brutally slaughtered on a biblical scale.

Pigs are reportedly smarter than dogs and can solve puzzles as well as chimpanzees. If people’s main excuse is that dogs are smart and we should eat them that argument should be thrown out the window.

Eating meat is not the most ethical thing to do. We all know that animals feel pain just like we do. Eating the meat from a innocent suffering animal is hard to justify morale.

Reason 5: More Energy

I definitely got a boost in energy by switching to a plant based diet.

I was in my early 20s and falling asleep on the couch at 7 pm.

Once I switched to a plant based diet I had more than enough energy for the rest of the night.
