Helllo Esports Fans!
Today marks the turning of the page on this chapter of my career. I’ve decided to officially part ways with Riot Games, and as such, won’t be a part of the regular 2019 EULCS Broadcast Team. This isn’t a decision I have made lightly, but is rather the result of a long time spent thinking and planning the route I’d like to steer myself towards.
I’ve had a fantastic four years with Riot, and had the great honor of being a part of the EULCS broadcast from our earliest days in Berlin, right up to Europe’s most successful international run in LoL history. I’ve been incredibly lucky to have shared the caster desk with some of the most brilliant, hard-working, and dedicated personalities in the industry. But over time, I’ve realized that I need to branch out in order to keep growing. Working on the same title (however awesome) and the same Broadcast for four seasons has been somewhat limiting to my growth. I want to move in new directions, work in different broadcast environments, and try my voice in new and exciting titles.
I want to thank my peers and mentors, who believed in me when I was just starting out, and those who kept in touch over the years and watched me grow. Also thanks to the unbelievably talented and skilled people who’ve come and gone through Riot Berlin’s doors over the years (and those who are still there!), for making me feel like a part of a team greater than the sum of its parts. A special shoutout to my stream viewers, discord crew, and those diehard fans who always tune in, no matter when or where — Y’all fill me with DETERMINATION! And for the endless support of my Friends and Family: whether you watch broadcast, or still can’t believe that someone pays me to yell at video games, thank you for always being there for me. Lastly, thank you to every person who tuned in to the EULCS over the years, for welcoming me into the fold of European League of Legends. You took a chance on me, and cheered me on as I stepped into the impossibly big shoes of Shoutcasting Legends Joe Miller and Deman. I am forever grateful that I had the opportunity to be part of this incredible community.
I have some exciting work lined up in the near future, and I’m absolutely buzzing with excitement to share it with you all! I’ll also be picking my stream up with a new schedule in 2019, and finally will be upgrading its look and feel (You’ve waited long enough, right?!) On a personal note, I’m staying based in Europe for the foreseeable future, but planning to work all over the World, whenever possible! I’m looking into producing new and creative content as well, but more on that soon. And don’t think I’m out of the LoL scene entirely, by the way — — I’ll be looking to take on League events as a freelancer, in addition to the other games I’m focusing on. Who knows, maybe I’ll make a guest appearance on the EU desk next year (but that’ll be to myself and Rito!). Anyways, I know this has been a long read, so let me just end on this:
Thank you all so much for watching, and I’ll see you next time ❤
