The World Cup is coming to an end, and we are ready to bowl. The World cup of cricket is no longer just a game. It is an entire culture. Everyone gets into it. Countries come together to create this party. And we Indians lose our calm. Every day around 2.30 we leave everything we have and we wait by our screens. We debate, we predict. And more than that we have fun.
The mood was right there at the Sattvarise office too. The game predictions were going on and on. It all began with the team members thinking that they could bowl that one ball better. It was raining but how could we test this theory out? And along came an answer!
The office is a wonder of all things augmented. With the lunch time talks getting more intensive, the thought of testing the bowling skills out made more sense. And soon there was Cricket-AR.
We created a prototype and it became the life of the space. We enhanced it and made an AR game. And the next thing you know, the entire office was lit up with tries. The thing that surprised us the most was that this motion was extremely addictive. One simple swing and you could never stop playing. Everyone was fighting for their chances. The pitch would take place on whichever surface you wanted. This is the real essence of augmented reality isn’t it? It brings the things right to us at our finger tips. It eases access to a whole new world of things that could never be done otherwise. And that is exactly what Cricket-AR was !! And soon we launched it on iOS and Android.
Why must the cricket flavor stay only for the pitches in England? With CricketAR you can have the energy and the fever right at home or office or in gully.
