Today is a huge day for Vidyard.

Today we’re launching ViewedIt, a free tool to create, share and track video.

Since Michael Litt and I founded Vidyard a little over 6 years ago, we’ve believed that Video is the future of communication. No other medium could possibly convince us to slow down, visit an old friend, find a new job, or go to a movie in such a powerful manner.

We built Vidyard hoping to help businesses harness this power; and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve done; but we’re just getting started.

Today, Vidyard is used by nearly 1,000 businesses to drive revenue through the strategic use of online video; but these businesses all have one thing in common — they’ve already made an investment in video. When our team speaks to potential customers, the most common challenge we hear is “I don’t have any/enough video yet”. Today, video production is hard. With ViewedIt, we hope to change this, for everyone.

At the highest level, ViewedIt is a screen recorder; making it very simple to record your browser or any desktop application. Taking traditional screen recording a step further, we’ve added the option to include your webcam feed to add a personal touch and a friendly face to your video. This simple production process is just the beginning.

Videos are immediately available for sharing to any device via email or social media. There is no upload process, no hosting, no encoding, etc. The difficulties of Video are solved using ViewedIt.

Finally, ViewedIt lives up to it’s name. Once you’ve shared a video, you’ll get immediate feedback once someone has Viewed It — this comes both via email and a built-in feed.
