An exciting pre-event: SMart Cities Devthon for Metropolis

Yesterday, we gathered individuals participating in the Devthon for Metropolis on October 4th and 5th to brainstorm, shape ideas into problem statements and draft solutions. Our facilitators helped them answer the most critical question, “What defines a Smart City?” Participants went on to create concrete solutions which they will be working on during the weekend. And immediately after the pre-event some of them headed out to scout for hardware they will need to bring these solutions to life! It was exciting to see them working towards moulding a better city.

The broad areas of the ideas were — Waste management, Water supply & management, Traffic and pollution control, Smart Transportation systems and Sustainable Urban Agriculture. Here is some of the action in pictures.

We invite you to take this opportunity and apply to create an impact for your city. We assure you that this will be a weekend well spent with the presence of expert facilitators and the government.

Kindly apply before before September 30, 2014. Click here to apply.
