When I think of Salesforce.com I think of some CRM application for managing sales teams and leads. But after taking this course Introduction to Salesforce App Development on Udacity, I found it so easy to prototype any app idea quickly.
You build applications without writing a single line of code. Everything can be done through their UI, including building the data model, the links between them and business logic in them.
The most interesting thing I found is now I can quickly prototype a working app and validate my ideas in the real world without much effort.
Here is what the course teaches you:
- Build a real application using an interesting business use case: managing a music festival
- You learn about building your data model
- Building relationships between them like one-to-many, many-to-many
- Write validation rules to make sure you get good data in your model
- Building reports and dashboards to visualize your data, like total revenue, ticket sales over time, etc.
I highly recommend this course if you are thinking of becoming a Salesforce developer, or just interested in building an app for yourself.
