Figured since the job hunt has been lest that fruitful, I would attempt to try something different. 30 days seems to be the area where not only change happens but a full direction shift as well. This idea came to a head as I was working on Wes Bos Javascript in 30 (javascript30.com) and how much that was helping me keep up on my skills. For this little exercise I plan on documenting all of the jobs that I apply to as I continue to work my way into the web development world. If I do strike on a job early on, then I will list all the pitfall that I never saw coming and the trials and tribulations that follow suit.

Well here she goes….

Jobs that I have applied to Today:

  • BladeHQ- quick apply → I really don’t expect much from these but if I am not applying for jobs welp I feel like I wasted a ton of hard work and time
  • Jane.com → This is one that I could have a chance at as I have been in their space and enjoy speaking with their employees at meetups. This was a difficult one as I wanted the cover letter to be excellent and I have a difficult time boasting about myself in only one short page. It is something that I am working on but I do believe for where I am at it was excellent cover letter.

I am running a little late as the company that I work for in customer service is needing me to come in an hour early but I plan on continuing to work with the Wes Bos course to keep fresh. I might go thru if I have some time tonight and clean up my personal site a little bit as it is very rough around the edges.

Haven’t heard back from any jobs in the past few weeks but I will be documenting them as well when I hear back from them.
