Whoops 4 days
Welp totally my bad on this as I have missed 4 days posting on here. That does not mean that I have not been keeping up with applying and continuing on learning more about Javascript. It really came down to trying to stay as busy as possible outside of the computer while keeping up. It has been a wild ride the last few days.
Friday I was contacted by a friend about doing the West Slabs on the lower part of Mt. Olympus. After hiding away at my house for the last few weeks grinding away at this massive career change, a little break was well needed.

That hike really took the wind out of me as I have been in horrible shape and eating like an 18 year old for the last few weeks but I was so glad to just get out and get away from tech. Allowed for me to clear my head and get my focus back.
Saturday, started late but with good news. I do have another second interview with Black Diamond a company that I would really like to work for. I know their products well and I have been on their site many times, so the layout is not foreign and I would just need to catch up on the language that they are using but I believe that I would be a great fit with that company.
After that start, I proceed to get another three videos out and used some of those ideas on my site to improve the layout and functionality.
After doing that for I don’t know how many hours, It was time to hit the town to watch the fight of the titans. To be honest just getting back into relaxing with friends has given me a confidence boost that was needed. I know that I have the grit and drive to keep pushing out resumes and code but another needed part is the human interaction. I’m building code for people to use and with out that contact I might put something up that is totally useless for the public and I really don’t want that. My standards are high but I would rather be making code that works for all parties not just me. Being at a company that plays “bait and switch” to drive customers to chat with CS reps is not a great way of treating customers with respect in my opinion and it is one of my biggest issues with where I am at. Hopefully this can be either a way out or the start of something better.
Finishing out Saturday came with planning a small BBQ at my house on Sunday. While that was a priority, I also knew that I needed to spend more time in front of the computer as I do not want to fall behind and the better planning of my time is something I need to focus on as well. Managed to get up early and get the heavy lifting of learning code out of the way and get on the small enjoyment of a beautiful day hanging with friends and enjoying food.
I could go into more detail with what happened but with the late time of this posting, thinking it might just be best to get this up and keep at the grind. Work has been slow so getting outside work done has been an added bonus.
I will have a full list and most likely a small education walk thru on adding classes thru react sometime this week as well.
