谷尻誠率いるSuppose design officeによる街と建築、インテリアが連続して展開する複合型ショップ「BIOTOP 大阪」
谷尻誠率いるSuppose design officeがインテリアを手がけた、大阪南堀江にあるライフスタイル提案型の複合ショップ「BIOTOP 大阪」を紹介します。インテリアによって緑と店舗、街が連続的に展開するランドマークとして人気となっている店舗です。
元々家具街、その後ファッションの中心地となった大阪の南堀江。しかし近年では駅前ターミナル型の店舗が持て囃され、街の路面店の存在が希薄となっています。そんなかつて南堀江をファッションストリートへと変えるきっかけとなったA・P・Cが入居していたビルの1,2,4階に作られたのが「BIOTOP 大阪」です。
’BIOTOP＝人間も含んだ生き物本来の生態系が保たれた空間’というコンセプトが示す通り、１階はボタニカルショップの緑で彩られ、併設のコーヒーショップによって人が行き交う空間です。
また２階はラフシモンズ、イヴ・サンローランといった国内外からセレクトされたファッションが彩るフロアです。植物や飲食、ファッションでライフスタイル（＝人の生態）を提案する店舗となっています。
この店舗のインテリアは’街と連続した外部’とあえて考えてデザインされています。空間の内装を手がけるのではなく、空間の中に作られたいくつかの建築によって室内同士には内部と外部の関係性が生まれ、室内にも公共的な開かれた空間が生まれています。
そして４階の屋上空間はパーゴラ（つる棚）によって囲われています。外の景色を植物でゆるやかに遮ることで、開放感を持ちながら落ち着いた空気の流れる空間です。
「初めて夜が明けて朝の訪れに出会ったとき感じる清々しさ、それはもしかすると様々な連続性に気付いた感動かもしれない。洋服を着るということが珈琲を飲むことや、植物に水をやることと生活を通してつながっていることに気付いた時、日常生活がより豊かになるのではないだろうか」（Suppose design office HPより抜粋）
この店舗ではインテリアデザインが室内だけでなく街の活気を作り出し、結果として都市自体を作り出すことが模索されています。
街、店舗、緑、ライフスタイル、それぞれが成立しながら、外部との関係性までも連続的に展開して生み出したのが「BIOTOP大阪」です。

When we design inferior space, it could mean not only designing the part of town, but also designing landscape for furniture. In this project, the area of Fashion, dining and greens exist individually and relatively to each other simultaneously. We considered the interior space as the external space where contiguous to the town; the open public space would be emerged by the volumes in this indoor space.
Considering rooftop as part of the shop, the space has become the peaceful outdoor space surrounded by the architectural PERGOLA. When we realized that putting on the clothes is related to drinking a cup of coffee, or watering the plants through our life, our daily life might become more meaningful.
Designing interior space is not only the value to decorate indoor space but also to have connection to the society and if it makes the town active, it would also mean that would even create the city.
We seek to the continuity for the future in our everyday life.
