Three ideas, none of them mine: 1. Hire cohorts not individuals. Naturally spreads more diversity in all dimensions of the term because you're less inclined to hire all the same type/kind of person. 2. Pay people what the position is worth to you from the start and only raise/lower the rate of pay if the position becomes worth more/less to you. The impact of an individual the longer they stay in a role/rut inevitably diminishes. Don’t reward people for getting better at perpetuating the status quo. 3. Encourage people to leave their roles rather than leave the organization. Your organization only grows if your people grow.
