Great story. Thank you!
I found the “normal exploration and sales work” you report isn’t so normal. At the beginning, it’s hard to know who might want your stuff, and get them to consider actually buying. Or maybe the product was one people had a strong desire for, so it was easy. However, I feel sales at the start are more about people than product. (It’s risky to buy stuff from a small company, an unknown quantity.)
I’m not a great salesperson, though, so perhaps it’s normal for you. :)
