Hero’s wife, father-in-law petitioned the court for bail
A Bogra court has granted bail to YouTube celebrity Ashraful Hossain alias Hero Alom, who was arrested in a domestic violence case.
Bogra District and Sessions Judge Naresh Chandra Sarkar granted the bail on Thursday after Alom spent 43 days in jail.

His lawyer Advocate Masudur Rahman Swapan submitted the bail order in the jail to get him released.
Swapan said Alom’s father-in-law Saiful Islam, and wife Sumi Begum appealed to the court for his bail.
On Thursday, Sumi told the court the case was filed against her husband Alom due to a misunderstanding between them and she was now agreed to share her family with Alom.
The District and Sessions Judge court of Bogra granted his bail on a bond of Tk10,000. The next hearing for the case has been fixed on July 20.
According to the court statement, on March 6, Alom assaulted Sumi demanding dowry. Sumi was admitted to Shahid Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZRMCH) in Bogra.
Police arrested Alom after his father-in-law Saiful filed a case with Bogra sadar police station against him.
On March 25, the District and Sessions Judge Court fixed the date of hearing for the bail petition on April 18.
The court also reproached Sumi and Saiful for their petition.
Sumi told reporters her husband Alom had “characteristic issues” and he was indifferent to his family.
Sumi also alleged that once in bed at night, he spent about three hours talking to a woman in Dhaka. Sumi was beaten severely when she protested.
On Thursday, when Alom was produced before the court, he told the reporters that, after getting bail, he would start working in the media again and claimed the allegation of his marriage in Dhaka was false.
He added that the family problems between him and his wife were resolved.
