If you’re going to to tell people that stopping consumption of caffeine and fasting one day a week are going to help them be more successful, but completely ignore the role of alcohol, then you have a huge blind spot. (Maybe you really, really enjoy your wine, I don’t know.) Alcohol and other mind-altering substances inhibit a significant percentage of the population from reaching their fullest potential. They also kill hundreds of thousands of otherwise healthy people every year. I’m not sure the last time I read a story about someone dying from drinking too much caffeine. I would put stopping or drastically limiting your consumption of alcohol and drugs on a list of 10 big ways to be happier, healthier and more successful, let alone find a spot in at list of 50.
