FTP Is New Again

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I recently had to dust off the part of my brain that has the FTP commands branded into it. I had to move large Automotive Aftermatet data from Opticat to an ETL server. Here’s how I handled it

ftp
open ftp.scalene.group
username/password
passive
bin
hash on
hash mark per 1024 bytes
prompt off
mget *.*

This is a really insecure promote. Remember kids, always use SFTP/SCP.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
