I can’t agree with you here. Government, by its very nature, will always end up supporting those connected to government, because that is human nature. We are nepotists. We are more likely to support kin than those who are not. The closer the kin, the more support, on average, they will get.

Moreover, government is only about 10,000 years old. The idea that government has always been there, bringing order to us, is very creationist in many ways. And indeed, I consider The State to be a pseudo-god.

Government is really a consequence of the agricultural revolution, and for a time it did serve a purpose. But as technology continues to advance, as consumerism and capitalism replace war and serfdom as the primary means of resource exchange and management, the less of a role government plays, and the more it continues to exist only because it is self perpetuating and clings to life.

But we will move beyond government, as more and more tasks are taken over by non-governmental institutions and methods, as contracts are maintained more and more by blockchain rather than law enforcement. Government will die from involution. It will atrophy until there is nothing left, just like the eyes, of salamanders that have evolved in total darkness, have disappeared because they are no longer needed.
