Government spending stimulates the economy. It’s a historical fact.
No. It’s a heavily debated theory. Take a look at Japan and its lost decade (generation). The government spent and spent, and manipulated and manipulated, and the economy continued to stumble and rot. Of course, part of Japan’s problem is that its immigration policies are draconian.
Likewise, income inequality at its highest point in recorded history is a fact. People don’t spend money when they don’t have it, which in turn doesn’t stimulate the economy.
Recorded history goes back thousands of years and the wealth inequality in ancient Egypt was far greater than anything that we see today.
I touch on this point, in my article on money and wealth.
Moreover, 40% of economic activity is direct government spending and in total government probably controls around 60% of the economy. And still you blame “the rich.”
You sound like a creationist fanatically trying to defend his claim that his god brings order to the universe.
I respectfully disagree with comparing the wealth of the 10 richest people in the world to total spending of the U.S. economy as a way of defending extreme wealth.
The point is that the wealth of individuals is nothing compared to the wealth and spending of government. It is government that creates elites. It is government that manages the flow of resources through society. Indeed, money, the very life blood of economic exchange, is monopolized by the government. That probably puts economic control well over 60% honestly.
Now, if you want to continue to worship your nonsense, go ahead. Just do it without using force. Oh wait. Government is force.
I cannot simply agree to disagree with you, because while I want to live a voluntary life, you want me to live under the servitude of your master and pseudo-god.
I’m sorry, but you are stating theory as fact, and also contradicting science in various cases. I gave you a peer reviewed study analyzing wealth inequality in ancient Egypt. What you call fact is contradicted by the evidence in that case. Let’s see what you will do with that evidence.
