The constitution allows for this discord and organizations such as the ACLU protect even the most abhorrent in order to follow what was written so many years ago in our Constitution.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
This does not mean we all succumb to the abhorrent and thus blindly follow… In today’s existence with Trump at the helm (while his true boss(es) tell him where to steer) we must all take steps to make our voices even louder this coming November (2018).
To say that liberals are responsible for what we’re seeing today is nonsense.
When people are reminded of the true meaning of the 1st Amendment, they must be able to understand that it isn’t always going to be pleasant to have to witness the protection in action. Allowing a hate group to have a voice is one thing. Allowing that hatred to spread is the fault of those who spread it over social media, in conversations and/or agree to publish it.
It’s not the fault of those who protect what our constitution spells out.
Four outspoken white supremacists running for Congress only tells us how bold and ignorant these people are to think that they could win an election.
The people who voted in the 2016 presidential election were not given the president the majority voted for because of the electoral college. There’s no electoral college protecting these idiots, and in CA when another society-reject got on the ticket to be governor, the republican party did not support him.
