There’s no denying that playing pro football and working toward a Ph.D. in math at MIT are two very difficult, very different disciplines to pursue — so I’m quite impressed, Mr. Urschel, that you manage to do both. I congratulate you.

There’s just one thing I don’t get. Since you’re a guy who obviously values his brain, why on earth would you risk it playing a contact sport that’s been shown to cause chronic traumatic encephalopathy?
