At least “recommend” the response so it isn’t hidden. Seems the least one could do if someone took the time to respond to your work.

To be honest there isn’t much about the Medium mechanics that make sense to me.

Will the people who already read, Recommended and are done with my Story see that it has changed?

That should also be one of the things the Medium team works on.
