Day 49: Fun With TextMeshPro
Objective: Use many of the built in features of TextMeshPro to generate unique text for my Score UI. At the moment the text UI for my score looks very plain and doesn’t match the theme of the game at all. Luckily TextMeshPro is a really powerful tool within Unity.
Day 48: Using Canvas to Better Position and Organize UI
Objective: Position my new text to best fit the game screen regardless of the end user screen size. In my last article I generated a Canvas with a single Text UI element. Canvas and an EventSystem are automatically spawned for you when you generate a UI element into your game.
Day 47: Enabling TextMeshPro in Unity
Objective: Ensure that TextMeshPro is turned on and ready for any UI needs. Before we get too far into the next section let’s make sure TextMeshPro is actually functional in your current version of Unity. The older versions don’t come with TextMeshPro already installed.
Day 46: Changing Sprites Using Code For My Armor Powerup
Objective: Implement a new Armor Powerup that will change the visuals of the current sprite on the player. Time for another Powerup that will increase the amount of health the player has. To start let’s set up the basics for the Powerup.
