Self knowledge means knowing ourselves. When we know well about a device we can use it well. Self means body mind and soul. Knowing self makes us to live happy and easy. Body and mind are interlinked with each other. If we get tired wehave no interest on anything. If our mind is upset we feel ill. HEALTHY body with healthy mind is necessary to everybody to live happily. Healthy body needs nutritious food ,enough rest and exercise.Vegitarian food is good for health. Mind is nothing but thoughts. Thought is the starting point of an action. IF we think correct our actions as well as the results will also correct. Positive thinking keeps us correct. Meditation helps to keep our mind positive and peaceful.

Meditation combines body , mind and soul. All negatives go out in meditation. It makes our mind empty and fills with positive energy.

YOGA

Today the most popular word is yoga. What is yoga? How it works? Yoga means unification. Unification of body mind and soul. It brings happiness. Many people thinkthat yoga is physical exercises. But it combines body mind and soul. Managing these three makes life peaceful and happy. yoga has eight steps.Yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana,samadhi.Yama includes truthfulness, non-violence, not expecting and stealing of others things. Niyama includes satisfaction, cleanliness, constant search for God, reading books and being with who seek God. Pranayama means breathings exercises. Prathyahara means bringing back mind from outerworld thoughts. Dharana means keeping mind on innerworld. DHYANA means meditation. SAMADHI means going into innerworld and enjoying the state of Bliss(THE STATE OF GOD).

How to meditate? Observing breadth is the easy and simple way to meditate. In the begining while we sit meditation all thoughts flood. Many people complain that we are getting more thoughts while meditation. This isbecause of storage of thoughts for long time. For example when we flush drainage pipe all the stangnant comes out at once. Mind is nothing but thoughts. Meditation is making mind zero. Thoughts are mainly related to either past or future. Awareness means being in present. PRESENTENSE is the present of God to us.
