Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) is a Internet Service Provider with a Wireless network based networking. The old type of technology used cable connections for the Internet but now Provider move the Wireless networking which is user friendly and Eco-friendly as well. If we simplify the meaning of Wireless Internet Service Provider, It mean Internet Service Provider (ISP) that allows users to connect to the server through the wireless connection e.g. WiFi is commonly knows as Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP).

In the United States, wireless networking is primarily chosen by isolated municipal ISPs and large state-wide initiatives. WISPs are more popular in rural areas, where users may not be able to use cable and digital subscriber lines (DSL) for Internet access.
