I agree with you when you say that it is easy for us to point fingers. It is easy for us to communicate in a way that it makes someone a culprit or a victim. We do not take into account that we are using our own social identities to put someone else’s down. It does take away from the productivity of actually having a conversation. We have been learning how to have an empathetic conversation, and your statement about putting yourself in another person’s situation is a helpful hint on how to empathize with others.
