SPECIAL UPDATE #2: Notice to Pedestrians

A notice from the Ligonier Borough Police Department:

With the implementation of the Diamond Renaissance Project Detour including traffic lights positioned on North and South Market Streets, an additional safety measure has been added for pedestrian traffic.

Now in place are pedestrian cross signals on the North and South intersections of the Diamond. In order to keep both pedestrians and motorists safe and to continue steady traffic flow, it is imperative pedestrians utilize the signal and do not cross without it. It is a simple, yet safe, way for pedestrians to cross the roadway.

When the red hand signal is showing, do NOT cross. Push the silver button located near the intersection and wait for your turn. When the white Pedestrian is illuminated, proceed to cross the intersection with caution.

Remember, PUSH THE BUTTON to activate the pedestrian signal and do NOT jaywalk.
