1. Balance VS. Burnout

We have all dealt with burnout. It’s unpleasant, but it doesn’t kill us. It simply makes us take stock, cut out excess, and push some things completely off our plate never to be added to the rotation again. Now that’s a refreshing thought, isn’t it?

Burnout will force you to change your mindset.

Sometimes seeking a life of balance, which is never in balance because we are always trying to find it, can lead to mediocrity. And nobody can afford to be mediocre. (Or can we?)

If you avoid challenges that grow your mettle or settle for average outcomes most of the time because this is how you define balance, then you’re headed for mediocrity. Maybe, on certain projects, mediocrity is all that’s needed. You will have to discern how much and when.

Most times mediocrity is not good for our self-esteem, relationships, or our business endeavors. Cream of the crop, top of the heap, top money earner for the quarter, higher returns, best SEO practices lead to best analytics. You get the picture. You can exasperate yourself and those around you.
