Thanks for this excellent piece. As an only child, I learned to read early and have never stopped. I generally read a book every other day and write the rest of the time. Voracious reading is definitely where I got my smarts. Thanks for the books you recommended — they’re on my list now. What’s worse than being stuck somewhere with nothing to read?
