My secret battle with depression, and how sex saved me from a cult.
Hannah Joy Lehman

Telling your story is the hardest part. To sit at a computer and relive the stuff that debilities takes a whole lot of courage. Good for you.

But — don’t let depression be who you are. Don’t let it define you. Just be the wonderful person you are and live your life as best as you can. It is a chronic disease you live with, as diabetics live with insulin.

May I respectfully suggest you write about how you fought the hard battle to have a great life in spite of living with your illness. We all have horrific stories of the worst part of being in a depressed state. We all can write about how it affected us but we owe it to others to let them know there is hope once they have sought help.

I look forward to reading more from you.
