Lessons I Learned From Being Jobless

Being unemployed is harder than studying in college. You'll feel hopeless and miserable . It's like falling into a black hole . You're stuck.

But don't worry , you'll find a job soon. The storm will be over .

Here are the things that I learned from being jobless:

1.) Never sacrifice what you need for the one you love.

So here's the story. I've been hired as a loan officer and during my 1st week training , I got sick and I decided to quit. I quit my training because it requires us to be assigned to another island and I was anxious that I might not see my close friends again. I love them and I crave their presence every day. Aside from that , my mother convinced me to quit. With compassion to her and affection for my friends, I decided to quit.

Turns out... I regretted my decision. I've been so stupid .

2.) Stop depending on other people. No one can save you except you.

My story part 2.

So because I'm unemployed , I decided to go with my close friends to look for a job. One of the person that was closest to my heart is X.

He encouraged us to apply to different finance companies and banks and he applied too. Turns out he knows he's more qualified than us and he has been hired but we're both ignored. Worst case scenario ? He has already been offered by more than 5 companies for job opportunities yet here he is, vacuuming our chances.

Well, this person I thought closest to me isn't that close at all. He's very far from me.

3.) Stop blaming yourself from making a bad decision.

Where does good judgment comes from? Bad judgement.

We're human , we make mistakes. Accept the truth of the situation or the person and moved on. What matters is what we learn.

About my "closest friend"? Yes a part of me doesn't like him . I don't hate him either. In fact , I'm glad I've been open to the truth. The blind fold was being taken from my eyes and I can see clearly now.

4.) No matter how you gonna whine or pour out your problems to others, there's nothing literally they can do to HELP you.

Say it out like you're an exploding volcano. Let it out. But sitting there and crying over a problem can't do anything. In fact the more you show people how weak you are the more they'll pity you.

Talk to yourself , listen to yourself and advice yourself. You're the only one who knows you.

5.) Meditate.

Listen to your intuition. Your intuition is your inner power or the voice within. It guides you in choosing which path to take. At times, it shows via dreams, visions or feelings.

I've managed to solve my problems through meditation. Having 10-15 minutes for yourself will help you reflect and find answers to your confusions.

I can guarantee from my own experience that these methods are effective.

Whatever difficult situation you’re dealing with today, remember one thing : IT WILL PASS SOON.
