I just don’t get why women today seem to be obsessing over periods. In the 35 years I went through it I rarely mentioned it. And it seems kind of anti-feminist and desperate like you’re begging a man to understand or even worse be indebted to you somehow. I really am not trying to be mean or hateful but empowering women means taking the focus off menstruation as a weakness. It was one of the arguments against women getting the vote in 1920. Do we want to hear Presidential hopeful Hilllary talk about her period? (I realize she’s past that now) Also I hate the word “panties” — more words which promulgate the infantilization of women.
