Yes, I agree with your point regarding taking at face value the man’s word for his support or not for this candidate at face value. He was vague about it, and that’s his right to be. And there was no story beyond that, period. You saw my only point — calling people “dumb” repeatedly for making valid assumptions about someone’s behavior is a bit of overkill.

Others have answered me with saying that you have to actually be at an event (this one event!) to find out information because the “media” will keep you from getting the real story. I don’t know why people think the only way they can get information, especially about presidential candidates who constantly publish their own propaganda (many have written books), is through the “media.” Sad. I guess people don’t know how to mine for their own information anymore.
