You protest too much. It is not dumb for people to draw the logical conclusion that someone who attends a political rally supports the cause of the rally.

Your argument that you have to physically attend any one event to find out everything there is to know about the subject of the event is an empty one, given the ease of accessing vast and minute information in today’s world. I too am a curious person and I know Cruz’s platform and beliefs and message inside out, but thankfully will never have to attend any event given in his support.

If you are embarrassed that your father was involved in such a thing, fine, but calling others “dumb” for drawing a logical conclusion is . . . well, it isn’t smart.
