Oh Charlene…(((Hugs))) sweetheart. You are near the age of my daughter, and I’m sitting here FURIOUS on your behalf. How DARE that ingrate? When I was your age (wow, that makes me feel old to type that, lol) I endured similar harassment — built much like Dolly Parton, but taller — no matter what I wore, some ingrate found it worth commenting on. I too developed a “death glare” and some hot words that usually followed it. I yearn for the time when we women will NOT have to deal with this mess. I’m so sorry that ignoramus ruined your beautiful dress for you, and I sincerely hope that you find another one that makes you feel just as gorgeous. I’ve actually spoken out in defense of other young women like you — because I’m at that Mama / Grandma stage (I’m 53) men often hang their heads in shame when I chastise them for their ignorance and slimy comments. I intend to use the Power of the Crone to stand up for young women like you, and women like myself who also have to put up with this nonsense. Stay strong, Charlene…and keep writing!
