THERE ARE NO SHORTCUTS TO ANY PLACE WORTH GOING

For a gold jewellery to sparkle and be appealing to the eye, it has to go through a tough and thorough refining process. I would liken my experience in boot camp so far as the gold refining process. Things get more exciting and at the same time tougher as I climb towards the ladder of gaining knowledge and completing the boot camp tasks.

The boot camps tasks have shaped and made me acquire some disciplines and art. For instance:the art of researching extensively and pushing harder even when a concept seems to be taking long to get home. My speed of learning has therefore increased as a result of the boot camp experience.

As the saying goes, “ It takes two flints to make a fire”, I have come to appreciate the importance of team work. Communicating with fellow colleagues and my facilitator in slack channel has really helped a lot when I got stuck with a task. Helping each other out and reasoning together has been the best experience.

It has come to my realization that learning is a gradual and consistent process that requires commitment, speed and passion. With the three ingredients, everything gets on track. I have been able to learn a lot on using GIT and GITHUB, writing codes that are readable, and writing code given the test class only.

The has not been so smooth, but confidence, hard work and hope have been able to keep me running. Some tasks have posed a bit tough to crack them but its just a matter of time and the refining process will be over, the gold will sparkle and the sun will shine. Indeed, there are no shortcuts to any place worth going.
