The Artist

Wesc (@ethwesc) is a surreal visionary artist that has has been actively involved in crypto since 2017, gaining popularity in the NFT and Digital art space recently after revealing himself as Wesc. The artist has been thriving over the past few months selling his artwork during this bear market.

Inspiration

Wesc’s art is inspired by occult and psychedelic themes bridging the sensible and super sensible. Most of his Digital art seems to juxtapose the nature of his physical artwork, being colourful, abstract and psychedelic which overloads the visual sense. Contradictory to the nightmarish, surreal, grotesque essence of his physical pieces presenting the dual/whole paradoxical nature of reality.

Every piece is a replication of supernatural encounters, the more abstract depicting what is formless.

A lot go his art plays on humans most primal state. Fear. we fear the unknown, what we don’t understand. Death. Showing the beauty and darkness in these esoteric topics. One character seen in many of his works is The Hat man. This entity is a nightmarish shadow figure seen in states of sleep paralysis reported from many people around the word from different times and cultures.

The Project he is working on currently was made to reflect this world as a whole without resorting to physical tangible mediums. Fire, water, earth, air, and ether, the five elements and foundations of reality and unreality. Every piece compounds these elements while being reconstructed with AI, reflecting the matrix structure of the universe. Every generated piece is a form of “digital matter.” Another paradox.
