Just below the surface

It’s there, just below the surface

You see the lake without effort

shades of blue

ducks paddling

ripples from a breeze

turtle heads bobbing

a reflected light show.

But,

something else

is there

Just below the surface

resting

waiting to be seen.

Block out

surface distractions

till

you see it

clearly.

Your perspective of the lake

changes
