Welcome, New Faculty!

Please join us in extending a big welcome to our three newest faculty members Young Kim, Kris Holodak and Eric Waters!

Dr. Young Kim is an Assistant Professor of Strategic Communication. He holds a Ph.D. in Media and Public Affairs from Louisiana State University and an M.S. in Public Relations from Montana State University, Billings. Dr. Kim has received numerous top paper awards, particularly for his research in public relations. His research interests include crisis communication and management, reputation management and public behavior.

Ms. Kristin Holodak has joined our Digital Media and Performing Arts Department as an Assistant Professor. She holds a B.A. in Broadcasting from from SUNY Oswego, an M.S. in Corporate Communication from Ithaca College and an M.F.A. in Film Production from Boston University. “Professor Kris” has created digital media for numerous clients and is an award-winning filmmaker. Her creative interests include producing and directing short films, editing and cinematography.

And last but not least, Dr. Eric Waters is an Assistant Professor of Communication Studies. He brings a fresh perspective to both our Communication Studies and Strategic Communication Departments, having published on a wide range of topics from organizational communication and the role technology plays in coaching and consulting. Dr. Waters holds a B.B.A. from Western Michigan University, a M.B.A. from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.

We are thrilled Dr. Kim, Ms. Holodak and Dr. Waters have joined our faculty, and we look forward to their teaching contributions and insights they will bring to each of their departments.
