I remeber growing up in Brazil I would hate Oscar Schmidt because he would launch a 3-p0inter as soon as he got the ball in his hands, with no consideration for who was defending him, shot clock, game situation or free teammates. That felt really wrong, and yet a lot of tall forwards in Brazil tried to do the same, and it set Brazilian basketball for years of failure, bceause there was no one as accurate as Oscar. I thought Oscar could never ever play in the NBA.
Now everyone plays like that. It’s a matter of adapting your eyes for the ugly hoists, really.
