4 Things You Really Need In Your Home Office
I’ve had many different variations, lost, broken, and replaced them, but they’re always the same. In my perfect home office, you can always find:
A charging station

I’m always carrying my cell phone and tablet with me for quick work related check-ups. Sitting down and having a charging station is the best — everything is organized and charging on the same spot.
Right now, I have a wooden one like this.
A coffee maker

Because obvious choice is obviously obvious.
If you’ve read even a single thing about me anywhere, I probably mention coffee. It’s the best beverage ever invented and I literally can’t function before the first cup of coffee. So I always have one of these. For the home office, I prefer the single serving ones — it’s more relaxing and better to control my ceaseless intake.
A desk lamp

Working in the dark is the worst. Even with the computer screen and backlit keyboard, being in a dark room during work hours simply doesn’t work for me — my body tells me to work, my brain tells me to sleep. So a desk lamp is perfect to keep things lit.
Mine is just like the one above — there are simpler ones, but I love this design.
An USB hub

The MacBook isn’t known for having too many USB ports and mine is no different — it has two and I rarely need more than that… but sometimes I do. Keeping an USB hub close and ready has saved me from frustration more than once. Logically I got one that matches the style of the MacBook, because I love things that go together.
And speaking of things that go together…
A laptop cooling pad

This cooling pad I use for the MacBook is actually really good, but oh boy, it couldn’t be more distant from Apple’s design if it tried. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not an Apple purist or something — I’ve only just started using a MacBook recently and this cooling pad is pretty great.
But it doesn’t match. And I think I need a new one because of that.
I wonder what that says about me…
