The biggest upset? A comparison between the Rox Tigers and Albus Nox Luna
It is no news that the 2016 world championship is just around the corner, 16 from the best teams will fight to take the summoner’s cup home but only 1 can do it, some teams just want to show up what they can do and put up a good performance. This is the case for most wildcards teams their regions have never been considered strong but that never stop them from trying to perform well in such big events. Remember Kabum back in 2014 we owed them that C9 passed to the quarterfinals, no one believe in them beating Alliance but they did so and for the first time showed what wildcards teams are made of. Last year Pain Gaming achieved the most wins for any wildcard team in a worldchampionship beating north america’s CLG and Taiwan’s Flash Wolves, they were so close of making it out of group but ended losing to the Flash Wolves. No one believed that such and underrated team could take a game from an Major Region team espcially one from Asia, there was no doubt they played them better, during MSI Supermassive from Turkey beat CLG, showing why they deserved their spot in this event, 2 times in a row for most player of these team that was not a fluke.
Albus Nox Luna profile
Previosly know as Hard Random they made it to the 2015 wildcard invitational in Chile losing against Kaos Latin Gamers but the next year finalist from the wildcard invitational in Mexico and now worldchampionship contenders by beating Lyong Gaming 3–2.

They are likely to focus on their own objectives, so later in the game during a team fight they can turn the game around even if their are behind. Support Likkrit always bring these unconventional champions that end up giving them a good result.

Rox Tigers Profile
Worldchampionship finalist last year after losing to SK Telecom T1 3–1, they fell against them again in the spring split final 3–1, elimating any chance of appearing in Bejing China for MSI.

Top laner Smeb is considered the best player in the world right now but Rox Tigers with precise, coordinated gameplay and visible enjoyment are able to take games from any team and there is no doubt why they are best. Basically they made clean gameplay in every moment having the best objectives control and knowing where exactly to be in every team fight.

World’s second opening game Rox Tigers vs Albus Nox
On september 29 after CLG vs G2 opening worlds game, Albus Nox get their first chance to prove what they are made off. This second game show the two sides from the same coin: heads is Albus Nox a team considered the worst from all 16 in the worldchampionship but with a strong force of will capable of not giving up even if all the odds are against them, tails is Rox Tigers a team with an absolutely clean gameplay sometimes they made mistakes but fix them instantaneously.
We can say Albus Nox is on a disadvantage in every specific aspect against Rox Tigers but let’s be honest wouldn’t it be nice to cheer for a different team just this time, to see if they are able to show a strong performamce, for them to be able to say “Hey we fought against the best team in the league and we showed that we are not weak at all”, in the best case scenario for them to win and take that satisfaction home. At the end this is not a comparison between 2 teams but a showcase of 2 absolutely different realities and an invitation to cheer for the underdog because we all know that those are the best stories.
