Can you imagine? Techno-Primal++

I post this “digital frame” as it is some FB form of account bar code as an entree into my continued appreciation of the phrase [coined by Frank Colon] Techno-Primal!

I think that we began listening to a primal drumbeat….the Heart began beating before we mattered. The heart is the center and our first drum. As I gained experiences, my appreciation of all drums continued to pepper my pathways…I had a blip in the road early, however!

At age 5, in 1959, I uttered my first curse word aloud, as it was a response to my displeasure with learning that in order to use the new “tool” called a computer, that I would have to learn it’s language….B.S. I shouted and was given a bar of soap to hold in my mouth for 90 seconds!

Fast forward to NOW and I see “pedestrians” walking into cars while eyes glued to their “smartphones!”

I have machines in my studio that have over 1,000 drum sounds next to my hand made Ngoma and Doumbek Drums and use all as the time seems to be now that proficiency to “drumming” is as important as is the mastery of the machines…hand as well as machine-made!

Alas the answer to our “misplaced” drum must be Techno-Primal…a mixture of then and now…analog and digital…Thanks Frank!!!! I needed that!
