Losing weight should be a top priority for people. Changing their diet to a healthier one is an important first step in the process. Articles and television ads always promote healthy eating, so I just wanted to put together some facts that opened up my eyes to the importance of it.

I was so unaware of how important it is to eat better. I read an article one day that promoted healthy eating and it was backed up by facts. I come across material on diet aids and supplements all the time, but most of the time they sound typical or don’t stick in my mind as much as this one did.

The products and information they promoted were 100% natural and backed up by scientific research. Most of the time the supplements and diet aids are made inside a lab with artificial products. Since they are all natural, zero side effects. Unhealthy eating and artificial supplements have all kinds of side effects.

Natural Foods with Zero Side Effects

Seeds and nuts are one of the biggest changes a person can make to their diet because it packs so many healthy ingredients. Great for your stomach since it possesses fiber, burns energy, and low in saturated fat. Seeds and nuts come with healthy fat that is good for your body, especially your heart.

Another great natural food source is modified citrus pectin (MCP). Removes heavy metals like copper, lead, and mercury from the body. It seems not important however many serious illnesses can occur leading up to death. In addition, MCP protects your heart, is great for your stomach, fights cancer, relieves nerve and neurological pain as well.

Obviously, many other types of natural foods exist to keep you healthy and fit. Many bad foods do the opposite unfortunately, causing deadly diseases like cancer, diabetes, cause obesity, heart disease, depression, strokes, and more. I hear this all the time however one day it just registered, and I said “it's time to make a change”. It just made more sense to find healthier options that taste good and still great for my body.

Information is backed by the CDC, American Heart Association, U.S Department of Agriculture and Cancer.gov to name a few.

Cancer.gov says “Maintaining a healthy weight and engaging in physical activity can reduce the risk of cancer”

CDC “A healthy diet helps children grow and develop properly and reduces their risk of chronic diseases”

American Heart Association “People who have successfully maintained weight loss — 98% have modified their eating habits”

U.S Department of Agriculture “Poor nutrition is a leading cause of illness in the United States, associated with more than half a million deaths per year”

Unhealthy Advertising

Celebrities promote bad food all the time which becoming embedded in kids' minds. Unfortunately, many kids do not break out of these bad habits even as they reach adulthood. Studies were conducted to back this point up. I remember as a kid running to Mcdonalds because of a special movie promotion or celebrity endorsement. This holds true for many other products on the shelves and establishments. Companies take in millions of dollars from these promotions even though they started something deadly in many children.

Check out some cool recipes from the American Heart Association. Many free recipes are available to choose from which have heart healthy options, low in sodium, for the grill, quick options, low cholesterol, and many more. With so many to choose from your bound to find many that are great tasting.
