intentional in my life
Habit forming by leveraging the new
Oliver Quinlan

The best advice I ever had from a mentor was to make sure that on a daily basis you are:

1: Kind

2: Useful

Kindness is an under-valued value, but one to which we all respond to. If someone is kind (even if they can’t help you) you usually forgive them quicker and are more likely to help them at a later date.

Being “useful” usually means helping/solving problems for someone else but can also mean being useful for yourself.

When I first started thinking about being kind and useful it helped me put a lot of things in context (perhaps it’s also about being intentional). Why not try reviewing each day with the headings: “How was I kind?” & “How was I useful?”.
