Meinte Boersma

Hi Meinte,

I don’t think there is a significant difference between the time I’ve spent with IDW and MPS. The main difference, of course, was, that I worked very closely with IDW veterans and that I had all the sources at my fingertips. Again, even though the initial ramp up with IDW is tough, there was a point where it just clicked for me and I could build non-trivial apps really fast.

Regarding the seemingly endless resources: hard to describe, it has something liberating to not be bound to deadlines, of course, but I think in the long term it is necessary that people with a lot of freedom also get the feeling that they are contributing to something meaningful. If this is best measured as business value or something else I don’t know.

Anyway, all that might change now with ISC being part of msft. We can only wait and see what will happen next.
